Vet School Dowsett

'Vet School Dowsett' has bloodlines from the most sought after Stock Horses of yesteryear. 'Blue Moon Mystic', 'Abbey', Yallatup Rivoli Rex', 'Donrica Beacon' and 'Nabinibah The Gun'.  He is also the 4th generation to be born at the well known 'Vet School' in Brisbane.  His Grandmother is the well known 'Vet School Jewel'.

He won his maiden campdraft on his 3rd start and has been successfully shown in local shows.  Lovely temperment and perfect for breeding 'BONE' back into your stock horses.

Progeny performing well including 'Remick Xena's Folly' scoring an incredible 88 in her first round of her second ever campdraft.  She followed this up with a further 80 after splitting the second peg.  Total = 168 which earnt her 8th place over all out of 240+ horses.

oakey2006_130.jpg

Remick Little Admiral is by the well known stallion 'Admiral Oak', by 'Docs Freckles Oak' - sire of champions.  His mother is 'Vet School Breeze' who is by the legendary 'Cattle Camp'.

Oakey, as he is affectionately called, is showing a lot of promise and is a very soft horse.  He will start his campdraft career in the latter half of 2009.  His half sister 'Remick Isabelle', by 'Vet School Dowsett', was one of the easiest going fillies we have had by our old horse.  Both are a real pleasure and we wish we had more of them.

Service Fee :-   $550-00 gst inc. for the 2009 breeding season.  LFG.
$165-00 gst inc non-refundable booking fee included.
Does not include agistment (negotiable) or Vet Fees.

Need a horse Broken In/Trained/Educated/Re-Educated?

Need help with a horse? Rick Brown is your man.

After 25 years of breaking/training horses he knows a trick or two. Many years of trial and error has given Rick an arsenal of ways to train a horse. Every horse is different so often you don't use the same technique twice. Your horse will be trained to face up, lunge in round yard and in open, allow to have feet picked up for foot work, float/truck load, have a whip cracked around them, be ridden alone or with another horse and anything else you want them to do.

Rick charges $145pw gst inc. An average horse will take around 4 weeks to train and that means that you could have your horse broken in for as little as $580- gst inc!!!! You have the option of either providing your own horse feed, which we will hand out for free, OR, for an extra $30-pw gst inc, we will feed your horse quality hay for you.  To give each horse the attention it needs we only try to have 2 or 3 horses to be trained here at any one time, so bookings are essential.

Used by many locals and not so locals. No complaints, just high praise, most of our business comes from client referrals. We can refer you to many a happy customer. Just let us know what you need!!!!

Permission given to say that Margory Small of 'Daiquiri Stud' uses our services for both her rescue horses and those that she breeds.

Please look at the bottom of the page for photo's of horses that were here recently to be trained!!!!
