Introducing 'Remick Little Admiral' our
newest addition to our Australian Stock Horse Stud.
Oakey, as he is affectionately called, is by 'Admiral Oak' (Docs
Freckles Oak/Buc Lena) out of our second 'Cattle Camp' mare, 'Vet School Breeze'. Breeze was purchased at the Toowoomba Broodmare and Yearling sale in foal with Oakey in 2004. He
is currently rising 5 years old and will be standing at Public stud for the 2009 breeding season.
Ideally, he has become our second stallion and we should be breeding
him back to our Vet School Dowsett fillies and mares to further heighten our depth of breeding.

Our original plan when purchasing Breeze was to sell
the Admiral Oak foal and continue breeding Breeze to Dowsett. Oakey was taken to the Toowoomba Broodmare and Yearling
sale in 2006 and unfortunately it was not a very good sale for vendors so he has come home to stay.
While in Toowoomba, it was a condition of sale that he be entered
into the led class for colts under 2 years and in a field of over 20 horses, Oakey came 8th in a Royal!!!! We are so
proud of him. Needless to say, Oakey was there for the sale, not the show ...
and after doing so well, and with much urging, we are now going to enter him in other shows to see how he goes!
Oakey is all grown up now. He has some progeny
on the ground that we are very excited about. Please see the progeny page for photos.
Oakey will be starting his Campdraft Career at the beginning of
next season and is already showing a great natural ability with cattle.
