'VET SCHOOL DOWSETT'
was bred at the prestiges Vet School in Brisbane and is the 4th generation in their quality breeding program.
He was sold to Gatton College as a 2 year old, where he was used in their breeding program for several years. We
purchased DOWSETT from Gatton College in 2002, as a 5yo.
His parentage are well sought after bloodlines of yesteryear
including 3 Foundation Sires, 3 Foundation Mares and 3 Impact Sires. His sire is "BLUE MOON MYSTIC" who is by the
ASH founding sire "ABBEY". His dam is "VET SCHOOL RIVOLI WENDY" who is by "YALLATUP RIVOLI REX", her mother "VET SCHOOL
JEWEL" is sired by Gwen and Don McMillans "DONRICA BEACON" and in turn he is a grandson of "NABINIBAH THE GUN".
Since we bought him we have shown him twice. Once at the Dalby Show
in 2002 and he ended up in the top 10 stallions in the ridden section and top 6 in the led section as a 5 year old.
We also showed him at the local Boonah Show in 2003 and he came 2nd in the Stallion 4 years and over and the Working Stallion
Classes behind the 2002 Brisbane Exhibition Winner. He also won the Reserve Champion Stallion or Colt for the show.
At the same show he came 4th in the 'Pam Bell Challenge'.
We don't do a lot of showing but we do like Campdrafting. Dowsett
won his Maiden on the 3rd start at Allora in 2003. He has since been only drafted at the local drafts that have not
been cancelled. Although he has not won a Novice yet, the horse himself has done nothing wrong but unfortunately the
'luck' has not gone his way.

Due to EI and other commitments, we have missed the last 2
Warwick Stallion Drafts. We are now aiming for Warwick in 2009. In the meantime, 'Vet School Dowsett' is now being
competed in the Juvenile drafts by our 15yo son, Phillip. He is doing well, considering he has only had limited
starts with him. Phillip will continue to draft him in the new year, along with one of his progeny, 'Remick Xena's Folly'.
